I'm approaching retirement and need increase funds, and I want my money to work for me.

I've been working in the tech industry for 30 years. I'm finally understanding that money can work for you. 

I want to be able to do what I want whenever I want. I want to get good at something else.

Cari, it was good to see you on the 12/15 Q&A session.  I've been trading since early 2020 (on my own) and a PTU member since early 2021 and, as you can see, I'm going back to "square 1" to see if there's anything I can pick up that I missed before.  PTU is an amazing community and I appreciate the opportunity to continue learning with all of you.

The first best way to learn is to ask questions and be hands on with your learning and the next best way to learn is to teach others what you have picked up along the way.  I always say, if I can't explain it simply then I don't know it well enough.  See you in the forums!

@Michael Anthony Thanks! Good to meet you. I always see how active you are in the forums. You inspire me to get more involved.

I joined PTU in early 2021 and instead of just following the program, I just started listening to others(not PTU friends) and trading with very little positive results. Last month I decided to buckle down and focus on the program. So glad I did. I understand a lot more now learning everyday.

I joined late last year and didn't utilize the courses. For 2022 I'm buckling down. Thanks for your input.

Hello I'm so happy to be here and really get into this stock trading thing. I'm a disabled single mother with 2 children in their teenage years. My WHY is to have an extra income to get my children their first cars and whatever they want to do I want to be able to support them somewhat financially.

I can definitely see how “My Why” can change over time. When I began investing just a couple of years ago, it was based in fear. “Oh my God! I don’t want to live a life where I’m choosing medicine vs food. I want my wife to suffer because we don’t have enough money. I’m scared because I’ve worked over 20 years and still live check to check. I’m not “rich” yet, and it still gets “tight” until the next payday. However, I now understand that I’m not “doomed to a certain lot in life”. I also understand that as I’ve achieved other things in my life, I can learn to trade, invest, run my life like a business and use the advantages set aside for investors and business owners instead of the “American Dream”. 

1. Go to school.  2. Get a good job. 3 Start a family. 4 Buy a house. 5. Work until the magical age of 65 and retire. 6. Live on social security and whatever you managed to save.7. Die

The death part is the only certainty. However, now I see that I can truly live life more abundantly. I don’t have to wonder how other people have that nice car, that nice home, the vacation home, take the trips, and actually have enough wealth to leave for successive generations. It’s investing. 

My family subconsciously depends on it, plus, no one else is going to do it for me!

Hi friends new here.  i am looking to build a retirement beyond my business and make money semi passively.  I also want to be more financially sophisticated to have smart conversations with my FAdvisor and my 401k. I want to travel and be sure that I am preparing my staff for a future financial set up.  I love my business, but I need set my team up for success.

I want to increase my income, so I can reduce my debt. I want to build savings and have a continual flow of money into my life. My wife and I would like to buy our dream house, dream car, and just live a new life of abundance. I believe the Scripture that say "You shall remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day.s". Spiritual truth must be lived out in practical ways, learning how to trade and invest is the practical steps for that truth.

I can see my why changing as I knock some goals off my bucket list. I have soooo many goals Jason. I am very curious to see how my mind starts to shift. I might change some of my goals completely...i never thought about that before till now. I'm excited to see what happens and how this journey will shape me.

Man that sounds like my story...

Mentally I am done working for any company that does not care about me, I want time and financial freedom.

I want to be able to make consistent donations to my church to help fund community disparities such as homelessness, substance abuse, and feeding the homeless. I support and donate, but it's not enough, and I know my mission is to help people and serve change. My dream car is a  Rolls Royce,  like my initials(RR), and with a driver because I love company in the car. I will own a beautiful home with 6 bedrooms for my family to visit a few times a year for family celebrations. I would buy vacation homes in at least 3 other countries to generate more generational wealth.  I would love a theater room, game room,  pool, basketball court, and plenty of room for the kids to have fun. I would travel the world with my husband and retire him because he works so hard. I would restore my mom's house and make sure she never has to pay another bill in her life and give her an allowance every month just to enjoy life. I would speak at conferences worldwide about being a nurse for over 35 years and 5 years after retirement how I became a millionaire. 

I would spend as much time as possible pouring into my grandkids because I think they would visit more if I had a pool and lots of fun things to do.

I believe I have what it takes to become a millionaire and I will continue to work hard. Thanks for allowing me to really get detailed about how my life will look in 5 years. I can see it clearly.
