is Freedom of Time....

My why is ever changing. Like these times.  As always family. The end goal of my like is generational wealth

To become debt free in 5 years and work only when I want to.  To buy a new house and live in a good neighborhood with my wife.  To travel the world and complete my bucket list.  To enjoy quality time with family and friends

My biggest takeaway from this segment is to revisit the WHY because it can, may, and probably will change. I have selected my WHY for the year (12 months). I have written it down in 3 places to remember and stay motivated. The other takeaway is to believe that as an "everyday" person....MY WHY is ABSOLUTELY possible. 

I thought I had posted my why previously, but I guess not.
My 'why' is being debt-free. I see many friends and family members either unable to enjoy life as they'd like or going into debt to fund their lifestyle. 

I've been in a large amount of debt before, and I don't like the feeling of it hanging over my head. If an emergency were to happen, I would be in an even worse place.
My near-term goals are to pay off the remaining debt and continue traveling, saving so that my family can have the things we'd like without worrying about the money to do or buy them.
My longer-term goal is to help my parents and community in the same way I saw my parents do when I was growing up, and set a good example for my children by being financially responsible and having the ability to earn money outside of our normal careers. It would just open so many doors and experiences that many only wish for, so I'm willing to put in the work and make it a reality.

My WHY... Most of my adult life, making enough money has been the focus. I've worked 2 (in my early 30's sometimes 3) jobs most of my adult life. Credit card debt, student loans, mortgage, and income taxes have been my drivers for making money. I finally reached a decent salary, but now I need to supercharge my retirement fund. I have a solid pension, but I have 5 years to secure comfort in my retirement. I've been focused for the past 5 years but I need to secure my security so that I can retire, exhale, and enjoy my retirement journey. 

My ultimate goal is to be a demonstration for my son so that he realizes he has TIME and can reach financial freedom long before retirement if he learns from my mistakes or lack of financial knowledge. 

I will be dedicating a MINIMUM of 15 minutes daily to complete my power trade knowledge, but my week will be a total of 3 hours weekly.
