April 28, 20233 yr comment_37716 Love the analogy the only thing that I would argue against is in the Facebook example. In my opinion I think that's a perfect time to buy a great company that's going through a bad time. The sentiment is not that good and that in turn Drops the share Price which is a great buying opportunity for a great company At a deep discount, Look where facebook has gone since that has happened. I think that's how warren buffet and charlie Munger Made their billions, buying great companies at a cheap price, Let me know how you feel about that. Report

January 25, 20251 yr comment_49320 @Federico Foster be sure to tag the person to be sure you get attention from who you are "quoting" Be sure you are practicing. ( I try to practice 3-5 trades every day on think or swim with random times where I have no Idea what is going on. I find it really helps my confidence to cut a loser before it gets ugly) I have webull but am not sure if they have paper on that platform. As far as cash/margin acct if I remember right they both have their benefits, cash and no PDT rule but funds settle the following day. Margin is instant-ish but PDT applies Stock lending in my opinion only makes sense in small accounts where you have less than 100 shares of a stock. If you have 100 shares of anything worth having its likely you should be selling a covered call to collect monthly premium on top of capital appreciation and maybe a dividend too. Do not take my advice, read and decide for yourself. Knowledge is power, harness it.... THX D. Report

January 28, 20251 yr comment_49327 @Federico Foster welcome to the PTU platform. glad you are joining us. In my opinion, the best way to get involved in the program is to take your time and go through the modules. If you are joining in on the Monday night sessions, some of the information being discussed may go right over your head if you have not reviewed the modules. I had a difficult time when I first joined 4 years ago during the Monday night sessions because I did not have the foundation. You can establish this foundation by going through the modules. As you study them and join in on the Monday sessions, the information will slowly come together. You will have a difficult time if you have not gone through the modules and taken notes for later review. As you complete each section, be sure to take the test to determine where you are with regards to learning. I know you are eager to make that money but take the time to learn the stock game. I did not make a single trade during my first year. I just wanted to learn as much as possible without worrying about losing money during that time. I did do some paper trading. Many will probably say that they cannot afford to wait a whole year before trading and I get it. However, that one year of patience and commitment made all of the difference for me. So, with that being said, take the time to absorb the information and the money will come. Good luck! Report
January 28, 20251 yr comment_49333 Carlos, Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. I did look at the Monday night sessions and you were right on point when you said most of it will go over my head, I will follow your advice and take my time and learn because I tried this about 20 + years ago and lost a lot of money. I didn't have a clue of what I was doing back then. However, this time I will take my time and learn, once again tank you Report
January 29, 20251 yr comment_49338 @Federico Foster you are quite welcome. I will be the first to say that this is a learning process and at times you may be a little overwhelmed. However, if you commit to the process of learning, your efforts will be rewarded. There are multiple ways to earn money in the stock market. You only need to master one or two. Keep your head up!
